IT Manager

Overview:

We are hiring an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead our client’s technology infrastructure and digital transformation journey. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and people management to enhance operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee IT operations including networks, servers, cybersecurity, data management, and hardware/software assets.
2. Collaborate with various departmental heads to assess and meet their technology needs.
3. Lead the formulation and execution of IT strategies aligned with the company’s digital roadmap.
4. Ensure compliance with IT policies and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
5. Manage third-party IT vendors and service providers.
6. Champion automation initiatives and integrate digital tools across departments.
7. Implement and maintain data security, compliance, and business continuity protocols.
8. Mentor and develop a high-performing IT team, encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 5–8 years of experience in IT management, ideally within fast-growing or multi-site organizations.
3. Proven experience with infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and cybersecurity implementations.
4. Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Comfortable working in dynamic, cross-functional teams.
6. Background in the energy, engineering, or manufacturing sectors (particularly in East Africa) is a plus.
