Nexus Staffing Solutions Limited is an HR and Workforce Solutions Partner providing professional recruitment, human resource consulting, workforce solutions, and corporate training services to organisations.
As part of our business expansion strategy, we are looking to grow our Corporate Training & Learning Solutions Division and establish Nexus as a preferred partner for organisational learning, employee development, and management training.
We are therefore seeking an experienced, commercially driven, and entrepreneurial Corporate Training Business Development Partner who can take ownership of market development, client acquisition, and revenue generation for our corporate training business.
This opportunity is particularly suited to a professional who understands how organisations identify training needs, approve training budgets, procure training services, and engage external training providers.
The Opportunity: Build and Grow a Corporate Training Business
We are not simply looking for someone to distribute brochures or occasionally identify sales leads.
We want an individual who can actively develop the market, open doors to corporate organisations, build relationships with decision-makers, and convert opportunities into paying clients.
The successful partner will lead the commercial growth of our corporate training function by developing corporate accounts, promoting our training portfolio, organising training engagements, and establishing long-term relationships with organisations.
You will also be expected to explore modern approaches to promoting professional learning, including virtual training, webinars, online masterclasses, corporate learning events, and targeted digital marketing campaigns.
Nexus provides the business platform and delivery infrastructure. You bring the commercial drive, relationships, market access, and ability to generate business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Develop and implement a practical business development strategy for Nexus's corporate training portfolio.
- Identify and target organisations with employee development, management training, and organisational capacity-building needs.
- Prospect for new corporate clients and establish relationships with HR Directors, HR Managers, Learning & Development Managers, CEOs, business owners, and other decision-makers.
- Generate qualified leads, arrange client meetings, and present Nexus's training solutions.
- Conduct client needs assessments and identify opportunities for customised training interventions.
- Prepare and follow up on proposals, quotations, and corporate training bids in collaboration with the Nexus team.
- Negotiate commercial terms and convert opportunities into confirmed training engagements.
- Develop strategic accounts, repeat business, and long-term corporate training partnerships.
The partner will be expected to take an active role in promoting Nexus's training function and building market awareness.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote Nexus's corporate training programmes.
- Identify suitable platforms and channels for reaching HR professionals, business leaders, supervisors, managers, and organisational decision-makers.
- Organise and promote free and paid webinars, virtual masterclasses, online seminars, and professional learning sessions through platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet.
- Identify relevant topics, engage facilitators, coordinate registrations, and promote upcoming virtual learning events.
- Use webinars and online learning sessions as lead-generation opportunities to attract potential corporate clients and individual participants.
- Develop and promote scheduled training calendars, short courses, workshops, and management development programmes.
- Leverage LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, email marketing, and other relevant digital channels to market training solutions.
- Develop relationships with professional associations, business networks, industry groups, and other relevant organisations to expand market reach.
- Explore partnerships with companies, professional networks, and institutions that can facilitate access to corporate training opportunities.
- Participate in relevant networking events, business forums, exhibitions, and industry engagements to market Nexus's services.
3. Corporate Training Programme Development
- Identify emerging training needs and market gaps that Nexus can address.
- Work with the Nexus team and facilitators to develop relevant, commercially viable training programmes.
- Promote management, supervisory, leadership, communication, customer service, workplace productivity, and other relevant professional development programmes.
- Identify opportunities for customised in-house training, management development programmes, and annual corporate training calendars.
- Support the development of training catalogues, proposals, promotional materials, and programme descriptions.
- Gather client feedback and market intelligence to improve the training portfolio.
4. Sales Pipeline & Revenue Management
- Maintain an active and well-organised corporate sales pipeline.
- Track prospects, client meetings, proposals submitted, follow-ups, negotiations, and confirmed engagements.
- Establish and work towards agreed business development and revenue targets.
- Provide regular updates on business development activities, opportunities, and revenue generated.
- Monitor conversion rates and identify ways to improve client acquisition.
- Develop strategies for securing repeat engagements and expanding existing client accounts.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have previously worked in or sold corporate training, Learning & Development, HR consulting, professional services, or B2B solutions.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to independently identify opportunities, access corporate decision-makers, and generate revenue.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in corporate training, Learning & Development, HR consulting, professional services, B2B sales, or business development.

- Strong presentation, communication, networking, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to develop and execute digital marketing and client acquisition initiatives.
- Confidence in organising webinars, virtual learning events, and online promotional sessions.
- Strong commercial awareness, initiative, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Additional Advantages
Candidates with any of the following will have a competitive advantage:
- Existing relationships with companies, government institutions, NGOs, SMEs, and professional organisations.

- A demonstrable portfolio of previous business development achievements.
Important: We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate actual business development results. General sales experience without evidence of corporate client acquisition, professional services sales, or relationship-driven business development may not be sufficient.
What Nexus Staffing Solutions Provides
The successful partner will have access to:
- An established HR and professional services brand.
- NITA-registered training provider status in the Management and Supervisory Training category.
- An existing corporate training business platform and learning solutions portfolio.
- Experienced trainers and facilitators.
- Support in developing customised training programmes and proposals.
- Training delivery and operational coordination support.
- Administrative, invoicing, and business support.
- Marketing and promotional support, subject to agreed arrangements.
- An opportunity to develop a corporate training revenue stream without establishing a training business from scratch.
Remuneration & Partnership Structure
This is not a salaried employment position and does not carry a fixed monthly salary.
The engagement will operate on a performance-based business partnership model, with the successful partner earning an agreed commission or revenue share from corporate training business successfully generated and converted.
The commercial arrangement, including commission rates, payment triggers, responsibilities, and operating expectations, will be discussed and agreed with shortlisted candidates before engagement.
For an exceptional performer who demonstrates the ability to build a sustainable corporate training business, there is potential to develop the relationship into a long-term strategic partnership, including consideration of an equity/co-founder arrangement, subject to demonstrated performance, mutual agreement, and formal arrangements.
This opportunity is best suited to someone who is commercially confident, entrepreneurial, and interested in building a business rather than occupying a conventional salaried position.
