Our client, a busy restaurant in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised restaurant environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across assigned areas, including dining and service areas, while observing appropriate hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned restaurant areas.
- Sweep, mop, and clean floors regularly.
- Clean tables, chairs, windows, and other surfaces.
- Maintain clean and hygienic washrooms.
- Empty and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness around kitchen and service areas.
- Clean and organise cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Replenish cleaning materials when required.
- Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs.
- Follow restaurant hygiene and safety procedures.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or shortages to the supervisor.
- Support general cleaning duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards.
- Ability to maintain a consistently clean environment.
- Good personal hygiene.
- Reliable, hardworking, and responsible.
- Physically capable of carrying out routine cleaning duties.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
