Our Client is seeking to recruit a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Junior Accounts Assistant to support the Finance and Operations Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting inventory accounting processes, assisting with payroll administration, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and post journal entries into the accounting system
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records
Compliance & Audit Support
- Assist in preparing statutory returns and tax documentation
- Support compliance with KRA and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
- Perform bank reconciliations and vendor statement reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Assist in maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
Payroll Administration
- Support payroll processing, salary computations, deductions, and benefits administration
- Ensure payroll records are maintained accurately and confidentially
Inventory Accounting & Stock Control
- Monitor inventory transactions and stock movements
- Reconcile physical stock counts against system records
- Support inventory audits and variance investigations
- Assist in calculating Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
- Work closely with logistics and operations teams to maintain inventory accuracy
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related business field
- CPA qualification (CPA Part II and above preferred)
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, inventory control, or finance-related roles
- Experience in a retail, wholesale, distribution, e-commerce, or inventory-driven business environment is highly desirable
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Odoo, Zoho Books, Sage, or similar platforms
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions
- Familiarity with retail POS systems and inventory management software
- Understanding of inventory accounting and stock control processes
