Our client is seeking a professional and trustworthy Live-In Chef to manage daily meal preparation and kitchen operations within a private residence.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in a private home or executive residence and be capable of preparing quality meals while maintaining high standards of hygiene, discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Prepare meals according to family preferences, nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Develop weekly or monthly rotating menus.
- Prepare special-occasion meals and dinner-party menus when required.
- Source quality ingredients and support household grocery shopping.
- Manage kitchen inventory, pantry and refrigerator stocks.
- Work within agreed household food budgets and minimize food wastage.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage and kitchen safety.
- Maintain kitchen appliances, utensils and work areas in good condition.
- Provide light kitchen-related housekeeping and pantry organization where required.
- Provide table-service support when required by the household.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma, certificate or degree in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- At least 3 years' experience working as a chef in a private home, executive residence or similar environment.
- Valid Food Handler's Certificate.
- Valid medical/fitness report.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
- Ability to prepare a variety of meals and adapt menus to household preferences.
