Job Description

Our client in the FMCG sector seeks a highly driven and experienced Sales Executive (Wholesale Cereals) with strong field sales experience in Kenya’s food and cereals distribution market.

This is a performance-based role requiring strong territory management, distributor relationship building, data-driven tracking, and consistent achievement of aggressive monthly sales targets.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proven success selling directly to:

  • Food distributors
  • Supermarket chains
  • HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant & Catering) accounts

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive wholesale cereals sales within assigned Nairobi and surrounding territories
  • Achieve and exceed a minimum monthly sales target of KES 1,000,000
  • Identify, onboard, and grow new wholesale accounts and distribution partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:

    • Food distributors
    • Supermarket procurement teams
    • HoReCa buyers
  • Expand product visibility and market penetration
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market dynamics
  • Manage and grow assigned territory independently
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and mobile sales reporting
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance reports
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Track pipeline performance and implement corrective strategies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

    • Business Administration
    • Marketing
    • Sales & Distribution
    • Agribusiness
    • Food Science
  • Professional certifications in Sales or Supply Chain Management are acceptable
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on field sales experience in FMCG/Food Products (Mandatory)
  • Experience managing wholesale cereals accounts (Highly Preferred)
  • Direct selling experience to:

    • Food distributors
    • Supermarket chains
    • HoReCa accounts
  • Proven experience in:

    • Growing territory sales
    • Managing sales pipelines independently
    • Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly targets
  • Strong understanding of Kenya’s cereals and wholesale food distribution network
  • Computer literacy and CRM proficiency (Mandatory)
  • Valid driving license or reliable mobility (Added Advantage)
