Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly driven and experienced Sales Executive – Wholesale Cereals with proven field sales experience in Kenya’s FMCG and cereals market.

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving wholesale cereals sales, expanding market coverage, and managing key distributor and retail accounts. This is a performance-driven role requiring strong field presence, relationship management, and data-driven sales tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive wholesale cereals sales within assigned territory
  • Build and manage relationships with food distributors, supermarket procurement teams, and HoReCa buyers
  • Expand distribution network and onboard new wholesale accounts
  • Manage and grow assigned sales territory independently
  • Achieve and exceed minimum monthly sales target of KES 1M
  • Monitor competitor activity and market pricing trends
  • Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline tracking
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports
  • Ensure proper product visibility and market penetration
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ hands-on field sales experience in FMCG / Food products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales & Distribution, Agribusiness, or Food Science OR Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Supply Chain
  • Professional Sales or Supply Chain certifications are acceptable
  • Experience using CRM systems and mobile sales reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of Kenya’s cereals and food distribution network
  • In-depth knowledge of Kenya’s retail and wholesale food market
  • Direct selling experience to Food distributors, Supermarket chains, and HoReCa accounts
  • Proven growth of territory sales
  • Independent management of sales pipelines
  • Consistent achievement or exceeding of monthly sales targets
  • Experience managing wholesale cereals accounts is highly preferred
  • Valid driving license or reliable mobility is an added advantage
