Technical Support Engineer – Energy Sector

Our client in the energy sector seeks a technically competent and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer to support transformer design, renewable energy integration, and field technical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support research and design of power and distribution transformers (ratings, losses, insulation systems).
• Prepare and review technical specifications and compliance documentation.
• Interpret and generate electrical schematics and layouts aligned with project standards.
• Prepare and update technical drawings, datasheets, manuals, and as-built documentation.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and revision controls.
• Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ETAP, MATLAB, or equivalent tools for design and analysis.
• Perform electrical load calculations and system simulations.
• Support production, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Assist troubleshooting in power rooms and field installations.

• Support design, sizing, and integration of:

  • Solar PV systems
  • Inverters and battery systems
  • Smart meters and hybrid energy systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Power, or Renewable Energy Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience (strong fresh graduates considered for junior roles).
• Mandatory experience working in power rooms.
• EBK registration or professional certification is an added advantage.
